User Statuses

This dialog box is used to define the different possible duty statuses for the users, each status being characterized by a user availability level for processing alarms and receiving messages, from the least available duty status ("Off-duty") to the most available duty status ("Available"), with intermediate status allowing calls only for priority alarms or as relief user.

List of statuses

This list displays the different duty statuses defined for the users.

The first 2 states ("Off-duty" and "Available") are set by default. They can not be deleted or modified (except for receiving messages for the "Available" status).

Each row in the list defines a duty status by its name, which can itself be useful information ("Meeting", "Holiday", "Travel", "Training", ...), and by 5 additional columns:

  • O ("Off-duty"): The user must be considered not to be in service and the software should not try to contact him to transmit alarms or messages to him.
  • A ("Receive alarms"): The user can receive the alarms, with possible restrictions (columns P and R).
  • P ("Only priority alarms"): The user will only receive priority alarms.
  • R ("Call as relief user"): The user will be called only as a relief user for alarms that can not be processed by the normally scheduled user.
  • M ("Receive messages"): The user accepts to receive the service messages transmitted by the software.

Creation of a status

To create a new duty status, enter its name in the "Name" edit field, select from the check boxes below the properties you want for the new status and click on the "Add" button.

Note: The "Off-duty (O)" property is exclusive, when checked, all other properties are invalidated.

Modification of a status

To modify an existing service status, select it in the list, modify its name in the edit field "Name" and the parameters displayed below, then validate by clicking on the "Apply" button.

Note: For the 1st status ("Off-duty"), only the name can be modified. For the 2nd status ("Available"), only the name can be changed and the "Receive messages" property unchecked.

Deleting a status

To delete a duty status, select it in the list, then click on the "Delete" button.

Note: The first 2 status ("Off-duty" and "Available") can not be deleted.
