User Profiles

To define and configure user profiles, select the command "User profiles..." from the "Configuration" menu.

In the initial configuration, this command is accessible only to a user having the "System" profile (Level 2).

Profile

Profile Name

By default, 3 base user profiles are defined, each associated with an access level:

  • Operation (level 0): The user only has access to the operation of the application (no configuration). It can not close the application.

  • Control (level 1): The operator has access to the configuration of the operation (alarms, on-call schedule, etc.), but not to the configuration of the users or the basic environment settings (general options, vocal server, ports, drivers, ...).

  • System (level 2): Maximum level, access to all functions of the application.

A pseudo profile called "(without user)" is also defined. It corresponds to the configuration of the application when there is no "logged" operator. This profile allows to authorize certain operating screens to be displayed. In this configuration, no command can be allowed.

Access Level

The access level associated with a user profile ensures compatibility with older versions of the software by automatically associating the corresponding base profile with the access level of a previously defined user without profile.

It also makes it possible to keep a permanent link between a user and a base profile in case the user profile of the user could be deleted.

It can also be used by external applications to determine the access rights of user. The access level of a profile can not be modified for the 3 basic profiles.

Access to all stations

When this option is selected (default), the user attached to the selected profile has access to the data of all stations (on-call schedule, alarm table, alarm history, ...).

When this option is not selected, the user only has access to his station, except if it is declared to belong to all the stations (see advanced properties in User properties).

Access to all groups

When this option is selected (default), the user attached to the selected profile has access to all call groups, even those to which it does not belong (on-call schedule, alarm table, alarm history, ...).

When this option is not selected, the user has access only to the call groups to which it belongs.
