Restoring a Configuration
This dialog box is used to restore a configuration.
Configuration to open
Current Configuration
Select this option to reset, for example, the list of supervised events when the supervision configuration file (taglist.xml) has been modified by an external application.
Remote Configuration
Select this option (enabled in redundant mode only) to reset the configuration from that of the other station (after a power down, for example).
If the option "Synchronization on the most recent configuration" is checked, only the data that is newer on the redundant station will be copied. Otherwise, all the selected parameters will be copied from the redundant station.
Saved Configuration
Select this option to restore a saved configuration by selecting the configuration to be restored from the list below. It is possible to restore a saved configuration to a different directory from the Alert directory by selecting the base directory (Main path).
Selection
This restoration can be partial by selecting only a part of the following subsets:
- Parameters: Application parameters. The environment parameters and configuration files (".ini") of the mediator and the communication handlers used are only restored if the "Load environment parameters..." option is selected.
- Supervision : Supervision configuration files (taglist.xml, taggrouplist.xml), and associated text and audio messages.
- Groups & Teams: Configuration files for the on-call management (userlist.xml, grouplist.xml, teamlist.xml, holiday.xml) and group schedules (groupschedxxx.xml). Option forced with "Supervision" option.
- Programmed calls: Configuration file for programmed calls and synchronization calls with remote stations (progcalllist.xml).
- Alarm history: Alarm history.
- Event log: Event log.
- Logbook: Reports saved in the logbook.
- Icons: Icons defined in the main screen tree.
- External files: Additional files (see note below).
- Plugins : Configuration of installed plugins.
- Database: Restores the database file stored in the "Bases" directory. This option works only with databases storing their data as a file.
Note: The list of external files to be restored is defined in the text file "ExtFiles.lst". Each file in this list is designated by a row containing the name of a file, in absolute form, with the full path of the file, or relative to the directory of the application. A file name can contain the wildcards '' and '?' (Example: "./Test/.*" refers to all files contained in the "Test" subdirectory of the application).
Load environment parameters
This option restricts the restoration of application parameters to only parameters that are independent of the environment.
When not selected, the following parameters are not restored:
- Selection and configuration of communication ports.
- Communication drivers
- Windows Control (display options)
- Redundancy parameters (redundancy options)
- External applications
- Voice synthesis activation
Load message processor configuration
This option is used to load the Message Processor configuration of the redundant station (parameters and scripts). This option is validated only for a remote configuration restore.
Backup path
Name of the directory where are stored backup configurations. By default, this is the "Backup" sub-directory of the Alert application data directory. The backup directory can be selected on a network machine.
Click on the "Default" button to select the default backup directory.
Click on the "Browse..." button to select another directory.
Click on the "Display" button to open the file explorer on the selected directory.
