External Applications
The "Applications..." command in the "Configuration" menu is used to define the list of external applications associated with ALERT. These applications can be directly called from the "Operation" menu of ALERT or launched automatically on ALERT initialization. This can be both applications to monitor and complementary applications.

The list at the top left of the dialog box displays the list of external applications associated with ALERT.

When this option is checked the selected application is registered in the "Operation" menu. The label displayed in the menu is the one entered in the associated edit field.
If this option is checked, selecting the menu command in question will cause the application to be activated, or to move to the foreground if it was already active.

The command line starts the application. This line must contain the path of the application in the directory tree if its original directory is not in the default path.
Initial Directory
The initial working directory is the one to be used by the selected application.
Arguments
The parameters are optional: this can be the name of a document (Excel sheet, ...) to be opened by the application.

This option causes the associated application to be automatically activated at ALERT launching.

Minimize window (icon)
This option indicates that the associated application must be activated as an icon.
