Saving the Configuration

This dialog box allows to copy all the configuration files in a compressed file (ZIP format) with a suffix ".abf".

Configuration Name

To save the current configuration, enter a configuration name in the edit field above the list or select an existing name from the list (overwriting of a saved configuration).

Selection

When saving a configuration, you can include or exclude a part of the configuration and the operational data recorded:

  • Audio and instruction files: Save sound files and text files attached to the tag list.
  • Alarm history: Save the alarm history.
  • Event log: Save the event log.
  • Logbook: Save reports saved in the maintenance log.
  • External files: Save additional external files. To view or set the list of external files to back up, click on the button  (see Backup of External Files).
  • Plugins: Save settings for installed plugins.
  • Database: Backs up the database file stored in the "Bases" sub-directory of the data directory. This option works only with databases storing their data as a file.

Encryption

If you wish to encrypt the saved configuration, click on this button to define the type of encryption desired and the password to be used.

A green light is displayed on the button when encryption is enabled.

Backup path

Name of the directory where the configuration backup files will be saved. By default, this is the "Backup" sub-directory of the Alert application data directory. The backup directory can be selected on a network machine.

Click on the "Default" button to select the default backup directory.

Click on the "Browse..." button to select another directory.

Click on the "Display" button to open the file explorer on the selected directory.
