Team Changeover

To declare the start of his on-call period or to indicate that his on-call duty is over, an operator can select the "Team changeover..." command from the "Operation" menu, or simply click on the button . After requesting the identification of the operator, the "Team Changeover" dialog is displayed.

A specific team can also be directly forced in or out on-call from the contextual menu displayed by right-clicking in the tree on the icon of the team in question and selecting the "Team Changeover" or "End on-call" command.

Depending on the selected mode of team changeover management for the group (see advanced options in properties of a call group), the team changeover operation may or may not be mandatory:

  • If "Team changeover mandatory" is not checked (default mode), team changes will be performed automatically according to the scheduled on-call table. Team changeover operations are possible in this case, but only in the case of early team change (replacement of the current team before the scheduled deadline) or an early end of on-call time.

  • If "Team changeover mandatory" is checked, the team changeover operation must be carried out by one of the operators of the new on-call team at the scheduled time for the shift, with a configurable delay tolerance. If the team changeover is not carried out within the prescribed time, a team changeover failure is signaled with the possibility of triggering an alarm. Similarly, at the end of the on-call period, if no other team is scheduled, the end of the on-call time must be declared. Failing this, the team will remain on-call beyond the end of the planned period.

Team changeover for group(s)

This selection indicates a team changeover operation: the operator arrives to begin its on-call time. After validation, the operator (and all his team) will be on-call for all the groups selected in the list below.

End on-call for group(s)

This selection indicates an end-of-on-call operation. The operator reports that he is leaving his position (with all his team) and that his period of on-call duty is over. After validation, there is no longer anyone on-call for the groups selected in the list below.

Note: The "End on-call" operation is not necessary when a team replaces another team. The replacement of a team A by a team B ends the on-call duty of team A.

In mandatory team changeover mode, the "End on-call" operation causes the group status to be changed to "Waiting for team changeover" with a team changeover timeout set to the value defined in the advanced group option "Maximum delay for team changeover". If after this time the scheduled on-call team (if defined) has not performed the team changeover, the status variable "ChangeoverStatus" of the relevant group changes to state 3 ("Timeout for team changeover expired"), with the possibility of triggering an alarm (see below).

List of call groups

This list displays the groups for which the identified operator (designated in the title bar) can perform a team changeover or terminate his call on-call duty according with the "Team changeover" / "End on-call" selection.

  • Team changeover: The list displays all candidate groups for the designated operator in the title bar with the proposed team indicated in parenthesis. The proposed team is either the planned team if the team is not already active or the next team planned if the active team is the one planned. Only groups that have a team to propose and for which the operator belongs to the proposed team are displayed.

  • End on-call: The list displays all the candidate groups at the end of the on-call duty for the designated operator in the title bar with the relevant team indicated in parenthesis. Only the groups for which the operator belongs to the active team are displayed.

Click on the "All" button to select all the groups proposed for the team change-over or the end of the on-call duty.

Click on the "None" button to deselect all the groups proposed for the team change-over or the end of the on-call dut.

Maximum dealy for the next team changeover

This option defines the maximum delay that will be tolerated to perform the next team changeover. The "default" selection selects the default value configured at the group level (see advanced options in properties of a call group).

At the end of the on-call period of each of the selected groups, if no polling has been performed, the time indicated at this level is counted down. At the end of this time, if the polling is still not performed, the status variable "ChangeoverStatus" of the relevant group changes to state 3 ("Timeout for team changeover expired"). This variable, which can be accessed by OPC or DDE can be used to trigger an alarm.
