Editing a Report
To edit a report, select the "Logbook" view, then click on the "New" button to create a new report, or "Edit" to modify or complete an existing report (after selecting it in the displayed list of reports).
If the "export database" option is enabled by the software license, a report can be attached to one or more alarms. An alarm report can be edited (creation, consultation, modification) from the alarm table or alarm history or from any view of the main screen displaying tags in alarm, from the associated context menu ("Create a Report" or "Display the report" command).
Header
Time-stamp, Author
When a new report is created, it is automatically time-stamped and signed by the name of the operator who creates it. This information (Time-stamp and author) can be changed.
Only the author of a report can subsequently edit it again to modify it, provided that the edition/modification of a report of the logbook is validated for his profile.
The buttons and
are only displayed for reports attached to an alarm and if multiple reports are attached to the same alarm. They allow you to browse the list of reports attached to the same alarm.
Topic
The report (when created or later edited) can be attached to a topic, which becomes a search criterion when displaying the logbook.
The topic's title can be selected from the list of existing topics or entered directly into the edit field (the new name is automatically added to the list later).
Report
Written report
The written report is edited as a notepad. The next change to the next line is automatic. It can be forced manually by pressing the "Enter" key on the keyboard.
Sound File
Check this box to associate a voice message with the report.
By clicking on the "Browse..." button you can search for a sound file containing a pre-recorded audio message.
By clicking on the "Record..." button, the audio message is recorded directly. The name of the created file is automatically assigned as "Myymmxxx.WAV", "yy" is the year, "mm" is the month number, and "xxx" is a numeric code from "000" to "999".
The "Listen" button lets you listen to the audio message.
Attached files
One or more files can be attached to the report. The drop-down list contains the list of files attached to the report.
Click on the "Add..." button to add a file to the list of files attached to the report.
Click on the "Remove" button to remove the selected file from the list of files attached to the report.
Click on the "Open" button to open the selected file in the list of files attached to the report. The "Open" action is defined by the association made to the selected file type (according with the file name extension).
