Logbook

To display the logbook (maintenance log), select the "Logbook" command from the "Operation" menu, or simply click on the button logbook.

You can also access the logbook from the main screen by clicking on the tab tab logbook at the bottom of the screen.

The logbook contains written or oral reports that have been performed by users, locally (see Editing a Report) or by telephone (see Vocal Server).

The logbook is saved in files, one file per day. These files are located in the "REPORT" subdirectory of the application data directory. The date corresponding to a file is encoded in its name in the form: RYYMMDD.LOG (with YY = year, MM = month, DD = day).

Each report is represented by a header line followed by the contents of the written report.

Report header

The report header contains:

  • The name of the user who authored the report.

  • The date of the report.

  • The subject to which the report is attached. This subject is any string used to classify reports. The subject is optional ("-" if there is no subject).

  • An alarm report indicator ( alarm ) if the report has been edited from the alarm table or alarm history.

  • An attached files indicator ( attached ) if one or more files are attached to the report. To open files attached to a report, right-click the attached symbol and select the desired file from the displayed pop-up menu.

  • A button listen if an audio message associated with the report has been recorded. Press this button to listen to the message. Hold it down while listening to the voice message.
