USB protection key installation procedure

It is mandatory to install the USB protection key drivers before plugging the key into the machine. Without proper drivers installed first, Windows automatically assigns its own USB drivers to the device, preventing recognition by Micromedia International software.

Procedure

1. Connect the USB key to your computer
2. Uninstall Sentinel Protection Installer via Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
3. Uninstall the Windows drivers for the USB key through Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers
4. Disconnect the USB key
5. Install the protection key drivers from your Micromedia International installation media, ensuring the Protection key drivers component is selected
6. Reconnect the USB key
7. Launch the Micromedia International software — the key should now be detected
