Common Issues

This page covers common issues you may encounter with the VoIP driver.

Driver can't be initialized (code 1)

The IP port configured in the SIP driver is already used by another program. Change its value in the Connection tab.

Phone rings but no sound plays on pick-up

Check the network card used by ALERT. In the Connection tab, select the correct IP address (network card). This address must have access to the telephony network.

File XX can't be played (code 4)

The audio file format is not supported by ALERT. The file must be PCM (no compression), mono, 8 or 16 bits.
