Before configuring the link with WinCC OA, it is useful to understand the architecture between the two products.

Network requirements​

The TCP port 9000 must be open on the firewall in the direction from the Alert server to the WinCC OA server.

Deployment​

Alert and WinCC OA can be installed on the same computer or on two separate machines.
